How to Play Tennis Video TIP:  Ball Toss / PRO

Notice how Alex Bogomolov’s ball toss location makes it comfortable to swing.  The ball reaches a space above his head that is comfortable reach for his height and arm length and he reaches contact just as the ball begins to descend.  If he were to let this toss hit the ground it would land right between his feet.  Think of throwing the toss straight up an elevator shaft to develop a feel for this motion.  He lets this toss drop a little lower than normal and hits the net tape which you will hear on the video.
