2012 Resolution? How to Eat Elephant / Multi City Group Lesson Schedule
Dear TennisTIP Players:
Is a New Year’s resolution cliche? Is it yet another cleverly disguised and sophisticated marketing strategy that inundates our media driven culture? For me, I find them a bit redundant since I’m resolving and setting goals year round for my personal life, work and sporting endeavors.
If I have a goal I keep it attainable on daily and weekly plan. Do you recall an expression about trying to eat an elephant in one meal? Yesterday, I entered my next USTA sanctioned tennis tournament. I set an exercise regiment and meal plan to prepare for it and began this morning. I will build on it each day over the new few weeks. Once I’m in the tournament most of the work has been done in advance. The tournament is the fun part for me. I enjoy the art of execution in a competitive environment which is the harvest of my preparation. Once it’s over I’ll re-evaluate and build on what I started. So whatever goals you may have this time of year try to enjoy your elephant one bite at a time in reaching them and don’t get discouraged if you have a minor set back.

Our LiveBall classes are 2-hour point play classes. Please email me if you have questions about your playing level so we can make a recommendation. Also, have a good pre-game meal so you have a lot of sustainable energy over the 120 minute class. Wear layers under your winter coat and have dry clothing when you leave class you don’t hit the pavement with a cold sweat.
